Ask Sean About Street Hypnosis 9 Sept. 2009

Q: Do you ever do impromptu therapy with the people you hypnotize?

A: Usually no. First of all I believe that we should only do therapy with people when they request it. For instance, If your subject is a smoker, it would not be a good idea to give her an aversion to cigarettes, unless she gave you permission. Also, you should never work with pain or any other medical condition without a referral from a physician. If you subject has back pain and you suggest away the pain, he could walk away and injure himself since the pain is not there to remind him that he is injured.

So, bottom line... Don't do therapy during street hypnosis. Street hypnosis is for education and entertainment only.
